The Region of Waterloo is proposing to renovate the lobby of the Police Services Headquarters Building at 200 Maple Grove Road, Cambridge.  The area of work is approximately 411 m2 (4,424 sq.ft.) and is described generally as follows:

• - Removal of existing reception desk, millwork, partitions, doors, flooring, and suspended ceiling;
• - Removal of portions of existing concrete slab;
• - Provide new reception desk on raised platform with security-rated partitions, glazing, hardware, doors and frames.  New steps and ramps to access the platform;
• - Provide new partition walls, interior glazing, hardware, doors and frames;
• - Provide new finished flooring and suspended ceiling;
• - Provide structural supports to reinforce new architectural elements;
• - Reconfigure HVAC distribution, including modifications to ductwork, supply diffuser/return grille, variable air volume terminal box, temperature sensor, zone controls, hot water supply and return piping, thermostat and fire damper;
• - Contractor shall carry Siemens as the provider of Building Automation and Controls system;
• - Modify Electrical system, by providing power and data to new locations, new LED lighting and controls, new exit lighting and new electrified door hardware;
• - Contractor shall carry Network Communications Cabling Corp. to provide network communications cabling;
• - Provide new Security and Paging System.  Contractor is to carry Pinder’s Security to provide these systems;
• - Reconfigure existing Sprinkler piping and heads;
• - Rework existing Fire Alarm system;
• - Provide temporary construction, entrance/exit, walkway, hoarding partitions, fire alarm pull station, electrified door hardware, security camera, power/data, and exit signs as part of phasing program; and
• - The work will be performed over three phases to allow Police Services to maintain operations.
