In order to ensure the Region of Waterloo’s (the “Region”) portfolio of buildings are in compliance with Ontario Regulation 278/05 and Section 30 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Region seeks to establish a list of prequalified consultants to carry out the work. The Prequalified Consultant List will establish a list of consultants who will be prequalified to bid on Designated Substance Survey projects and consulting on abatement projects when required with any value for all Region properties. Designated Substance Surveys will include new building assessments, reassessments, updates to existing assessments and assessments in advance of renovations, alterations or demolition. Consulting on abatement projects may include developing scope of work, pre, during and post inspections, air clearance testing and other duties as assigned. Only those consultants on the list will be allowed to bid. Services are on an “as and when required” basis for a period of three (3) years with the final date of the prequalification being March 31, 2024. The Region operates 24/7 and as such the consultants may be required to be available on short notice, and provide services beyond regular business hours if necessary, including weekends. Only those submitting a response to this Request for Prequalification will have the opportunity to be included on the Prequalified Consultants List. |
