Description: 

Generally, without limiting the scope of the project, the work covered by this pre-qualification covers the following:

  • Rehabilitation of the existing Turnbull Reservoir, which consists of two underground concrete structures, with a combined storage value of 22,800 m3. Repair and rehabilitation works generally consists of:
    • Structural repairs consisting of crack injection repairs, concrete spall repairs, exposed rebar repairs, and removal of abandoned hardware. 
    • Resurfacing of deteriorated surfaces using cementitious repair mortar.  
    • Application of internal reservoir coating (provisional). 
    • Installation of a new waterproofing roof membrane for each reservoir.
  • Upgrades to the existing valve houses that connect to each of the reservoirs, including:
    • Extension of the existing valve house structures. 
    • Replacement of process piping and equipment.
    • Electrical, Mechanical, and Instrumentation and Control upgrades. 
    • Structural and Architectural repairs and upgrades. 
  • Construction of a new 400mm PVC suction watermain from each of the reservoirs to the Turnbull Booster Pumping Station. 
  • Flow meter replacement at the metering chamber located at the Turnbull Booster Pumping Station. 
  • Restoration and site works. 

Relevant preliminary design drawings are provided with this prequalification to give proponents a basic understanding of the scope of work to be included in a tender.
