Qualified construction firms who provide General Contractor (GC) services, including demolition, roofing condition assessments, disconnection of utilities in coordination with utility companies, protection of heritage buildings, and who are well versed in permitting processes and standards especially with experience working with Metrolinx, the City of Kitchener, and Region of Waterloo, are invited to submit PRE-QUALIFICATION information for an upcoming procurement process for GC services for the partial demolition of the Rumpel Felt buildings located at 60 Victoria St. N, Kitchener. The successful Bidder (in the RFT process) will be part of a team formed by the Region and consultant(s) for the implementation of the project. GC services are expected to commence July 2025 with substantial completion planned for October 2025. These dates may be subject to change.
