The Region of Waterloo is issuing this pre-qualification on behalf of the Region, the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) and the Waterloo Catholic District School Board (WCDSB).

The purpose of this pre-qualification is to seek proposals from existing not-for-profit child care operators who currently have a Purchase of Service Agreement (“Service Agreement”) with the Region of Waterloo to enter into a Service Agreement for the provision of child care services in newly constructed child care centres in publicly funded schools (WCDSB schools and WRDSB schools) and regionally acquired sites. The WCDSB, or WRDSB, or the Region of Waterloo will be referred to as the “Site Lead” throughout this document. Site Lead is defined as the organization which the child care provider will work towards entering a lease/ license with. The child care sites identified through this pre-qualification process may vary by which Site Lead they are led by, their geographic location (within Waterloo Region), program size, and the type of facility (e.g. co-located within schools, co-located in other community spaces, modular child care, etc.).
