Prequalifying the Following Subtrades: -Window/Door removal/install -Flashing -Sealant -Abatement -Interior Finishes Sub-Contractors are invited to submit PRE-QUALIFICATION information for the proposed Region of Waterloo Housing Window Replacement Phase 2 project. Windows located at nine (9) of our properties across the Region have been selected for replacement. These properties include row townhouse units, single detached and apartment style. The project includes approximately 330 tenant units and is anticipated to be completed over the course of 2021. The project may be divided into multiple tenders in order to ensure timelines can be maintained and managed appropriately. The construction cost for one grouping of the project is estimated to be $900,000.00. In order to prequalify, subcontractors must demonstrate their ability to successfully complete projects of a similar size and scope. The scope of the window replacements is summarized below: - Removals – demolition of existing windows and frames, removal is anticipated to require some abatement work that will be completed in accordance with provided specifications and guidance from a qualified consultant. - New Installs – Installation of new windows, basement windows, and doors. Complete with metal flashing, wood shims, sealants and all other components for a complete window/door assembly. Permits are required for this work or need to be acquired.
