General Contractors, Mechanical Sub-Contractors, and Electrical Sub-Contractors are invited to submit PRE-QUALIFICATION information for the proposed renovation of the Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) Central Division building located at 200 Frederick Street in Kitchener, ON. The project will be a renovation of the 3 storey, 8,000 m2 former Kitchener Courthouse located at 200 Frederick Street, Kitchener. Interior demolition of the building has been previously completed removing all interior partitions and finishes, as well as the majority of mechanical and electrical systems. The renovation will require modifications to the existing cast concrete structure of the building including infilling 5 double-height courtrooms to create an additional 1000 m2 of floor space, extending one double height courtroom through the 3rd floor and roof to create a central atrium and light well, and structural reinforcements to handle additional loading. |
