This Request for Proposal (RFP) is for the supply and delivery of the hold room furniture for the Region of Waterloo International Airport Expansion Project to accommodate passenger growth. 

The Region of Waterloo International Airport has grown into one of the top 20 busiest airports in Canada. Today, the airport is home to a thriving aviation community that contributes $90 million to the local economy each year (2015).

As part of Development Phase 1, YKF will complete the expansion designs for the terminal hold room building to accommodate up to 500,000 annual passengers.

The hold room building will accommodate tandem seating for high traffic waiting areas, restaurant concession furniture, and casual lounge seating. In addition, power and waste solutions are to be considered throughout.   

Completion of phase 1 construction and occupancy for the South terminal hold room expansion is scheduled for December 30, 2021. Phase 2 of the North terminal hold room has an expected completion date of February 4, 2022.
